My rascally dogs relaxing on a rug with toys at paw, so to speak. Tiger the nose-biting pound puppy in the foreground was rescued from Town Lake Animal Shelter, which has a high kill ratio. He had heart worms when we brought him home, but has been cured and is abundantly affectionate. Racer the super Schnauzer, also known as Frankendog, survived a vicious mauling by the neighbors' "sweet" pit bulls, who effectively eviscerated him. After multiple surgeries he survived to carry on with his full-bore interrogative approach to life. Wonderful dogs both, each are simply overloaded with personality and and treasure to own.
